Hello, I’m Cerys — a graphic designer with a love for bright colours, an accidental plant-killer, and part-time vegetarian. (Do chicken noodles even count?)
I have recently completed my graphic design degree at AUB — through this, I have developed a high proficiency particularly in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
Some of my favourite projects include: a Daisy Jones fiction cover redesign, a collaborative animation encouraging people to ‘send a teddy, send a friend’ to help support vulnerable children across the world. the project was fast-paced and pushed me to learn After Effects in just four weeks. For my most recent project, an experimental magazine titled Fault, I was lucky enough to be a finalist in the SWDD Student Awards 2024.
In terms of my own design interests, I really enjoy print-based design, specifically book cover design and magazines. I discovered this in my first-year zine project, and have continued to develop my skills and strengths with Fault, where I had the freedom to express copy through both digital and analogue means. As I have a wide variety of interests from fashion, to politics, I would love to explore these further in a print or web design-based career.
Until last year, I worked as a lifeguard which required regular swim and first-aid training. Being a customer-facing job, my communication skills have improved massively, as well as my ability to work well in a team. In my free time, I also enjoy walking and creative writing.
I am eager to gain an insight into the industry and am currently searching for an internship. I would love to show more of my work, so please get in touch!
