Fault features hand-stitched typography, which offers an immersive experience, forcing readers to consider the level of precision and effort that goes into stitching—and by extension, clothes-making. To add another dimension to ‘unearth’ featured in the magazine’s title, Fault is bound shut upon presentation, forcing the reader to physically delve into and unpick the seams of the book in order to unearth the truth. The magazine is also coptic-bound, which adds another element of stitching, and reiterates a core element of the book: to feel handmade and authentic to the fashion-based theme.
